DIVERSION PROGRAMS

The Diversion Program at Breaking Barriers Therapeutic Center is designed to provide individuals with an opportunity to address behaviors that have led to legal, school, or community involvement while promoting personal growth, accountability, and positive decision-making. Our program focuses on education, skill development, and behavioral change to help participants reduce the risk of future involvement with the justice system and achieve positive life outcomes.

Using evidence-based practices, participants engage in structured sessions that address topics such as personal responsibility, decision-making, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, substance abuse awareness, anger management, healthy relationships, communication skills, life skills, and goal setting. Each participant is encouraged to examine the factors that contributed to their current circumstances and develop practical strategies for making healthier choices moving forward.

The Diversion Program is available for individuals referred by the court system, schools, probation agencies, community organizations, or those seeking services voluntarily. Program requirements are tailored to meet referral guidelines and individual needs, with progress documented as appropriate for the referring agency.

At Breaking Barriers Therapeutic Center, our goal is to provide a supportive, respectful, and structured environment that encourages accountability, builds resilience, and empowers participants to make positive life changes. By focusing on education, personal development, and skill-building, the Diversion Program helps individuals meet program requirements while building a foundation for long-term success in their families, schools, workplaces, and communities.
